Karalux has unveiled its version of BlackBerry Priv. The latest high-end Canadian manufacturer was partially covered with 24 carat gold. It will be available from 5 December.
The business of luxury touches diverse and varied fields; mobile telephony is obviously not spared. It even affected in several ways with, on one hand, specialist manufacturers and on the other, the specialists of customization that turns smartphones in large public real jewels. Karalux belongs to the second category and it has just introduced its latest “creation”.
It’s a BlackBerry Priv covered with 24 carat gold. The firm says that the transformation was a bit more complicated than other models of the brand because of disassembly. It would take about six hours and more than a dozen steps to get to the final result. The smartphone will go on sale December 5th at the price of 25 million VND in Vietnam, and 30 million dong for buyers out of Vietnam.
This amounts to a price of about € 1,260, which is ultimately not so high that it if we think that the only way to obtain the latest high-end BlackBerry with us today is to go through Colette where it is displayed on … 1500 €. Note that Karalux also offers its services to those who already have a BlackBerry Priv for the equivalent of about € 330, but that seems reserved for Vietnamese customers.
Obviously, customization is limited to the chassis. The specifications do not move and always includes a 5.4-inch QHD display curved at the sides, a slider, a chipset Snapdragon 808 coupled with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal memory, cameras 18 and 2-megapixel cameras and a 3410 mAh battery. The all animated by Android 5.1 Lollipop.
