Chinese company Cubot has released a very interesting smartphone – Cubot H3. This phone is an average price range with a good filling – 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage, a fingerprint scanner and the main advantage – with a 6000 mAh battery.
Cubot H3: Specifications
Cubot H3: Design
Cubot H3 comes in two colors: black and gold. Dimensions of the smartphone: length – 145 mm, width – 71.8 mm and thickness of the case – 11.2 mm. Most of the front panel is a 5-inch IPS screen, the lateral faces are minimal, but the upper and lower faces are large enough. The front of the smartphone is completely covered with a protective 2.5D-glass, which allowed to raise the main part of the display over the frame.
The arrangement of all the elements is standard: above the screen there are sensors, a camera and a three-color LED event indicator (available colors – blue, red and green). The LED color can be adjusted for most events independently in the system settings. Under the screen, there are control buttons. There is a highlight. Under the buttons is a tiny cutout, reminiscent of a chip – a hole for the microphone. At the top of the back panel are two main cameras, to the right of them – a dual LED flash. A little lower in the middle is the fingerprint sensor and even lower is the manufacturer’s logo – Cubot.
The mechanical control keys, located on the right side of the body, are made of plastic “under the metal” and protrude beyond the body to a sufficient height.
Cubot H3: Screen
The smartphone has a 5-inch IPS screen with a resolution of (HD 720) 1280 x 720 pixels, with a color depth of 24 bits and a pixel density of ~ 293.72 PPI. The ratio of the screen to the total front area of the phone is 70%. The liquid crystal capacitive touchscreen supports Multi-Touch.
Cubot H3: Performance
The hardware platform Cubot H3 is built on the basis of (SoC) MediaTek MTK6737. The configuration of this SoC includes four processor cores Cortex-A53, operating at a frequency of up to 1.3 GHz. For graphics processing here meets the video accelerator Mali-T720. The amount of RAM is 3 GB, and its own memory for the user’s needs is 32 GB, which can be expanded to 128 GB using a microSD card.
Due to the low resolution of the display, only (HD 720) and average processor power, the performance of the Cubot H3 is quite acceptable. The device types 33429 points in AnTuTu. This is quite enough for surfing on sites and for games with medium graphics. Asphalt 8 will go at maximum settings. The game in World of Tanks also does not cause unpleasant feelings.
In the phone, the Cubot H3 uses a fingerprint sensor technology whose unlocking speed is only 0.1 second. The identification of the sensor is 360-degree, accurate enough and fast, its use guarantees your personal safety. The device is equipped with an AAC speaker that allows you to listen to high-quality music.
The smartphone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat OS.
Cubot H3: Connectivity
The smartphone works fine both 3G and 4G. The device shows a stable connection and allows making calls even under very poor reception conditions and remoteness from base stations.
The rest of the network capabilities of the smartphone are standard: there is support for Bluetooth 4.0, it supports one range of Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz) and Wi-Fi Direct, and you can organize a wireless access point via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. NFC is not available, but there is support for an alternative HotKnot technology, OTG is also supported. By the way, Wi-Fi works surprisingly high quality.
The smartphone supports two SIM-cards, working with them on the menu is organized according to a familiar principle: any of the SIM-cards can be assigned the main one for voice calls, data transmission or sending SMS-messages. When dialing a number, you can also select the desired card in the context menu. The usual standard Dual SIM Dual Standby is in effect when both cards can be in the active standby mode, but they cannot work at the same time – there is only one radio module. With 3G/4G networks, a SIM card can work in any slot, however only one of the cards can operate simultaneously in this mode. To change card slot assignments, you do not need to change cards – this can be done directly from the phone menu.
Cubot H3: Camera
The smartphone has two cameras on the back of the phone and one on the front. The rear dual camera has a main sensor with an actual resolution of 13 megapixels, but thanks to interpolation support its resolution is 16 MP. 16 MP are available only for the shooting mode with a 4: 3 aspect ratio, while wide-angle images can be taken only at 13 megapixels. The second sensor has a resolution of just 0.3 megapixels with interpolation up to 5 MP. There is a two-section LED flash, bright enough. Autofocus works smartly, so there is no need to conjure with a descent.
The front camera is also interpolated (from 5 MP to 8 MP), the images are good. Although the picture is rather grainy, the use of HDR mode or third-party application fixes the situation. In general, both cameras show good quality for Chinese products, the quality of images and special complaints do not cause.
Cubot H3: Battery
The smartphone is equipped with a non-lithium polymer battery with a capacity of 6000 mAh with support for fast battery charging.
The phone’s working time in the video view mode is 10 hours, listening to music – 48 hours and waiting for calls – 365 hours. Thanks to a powerful battery, during normal use, the smartphone has autonomy for up to 3 days.
A new smartphone Cubot H3 with a 6000 mAh battery can be purchased at Gearbest for $ 129.99.
