Doogee V first review: 6.21-inch smartphone with in-screen fingerprint scanner

The Chinese company Doogee is not among the world leaders, but periodically offers customers very interesting smartphone models. One of them is the Doogee V, which has a fingerprint sensor integrated into the display. More such a decision in world practice is not used.

Doogee V: Design

Doogee V has an exquisite metal case and a glass back cover. Almost the entire front surface is a large 6.21-inch screen with no frame with the characteristic cut-out in the top, which gives a certain similarity with the new iPhone X.
However, according to the manufacturer, the Doogee V boasts a higher screen-to-case ratio – 94.85 percent, which is significantly larger than the iPhone X – 82.9%.

Externally, the phone looks very attractive. Slightly spoils the view of the frame from the bottom, but this is inherent in all modern phones.

On the top-notch, there is a loudspeaker and a front camera that will be used for FaceID.

On the back cover is a dual main camera 16 MP + 8 MP and a dual LED flash. At the bottom of the case is a logo – Doogee.

It is also interesting that the smartphone is equipped with a sensor fingerprint sensor on the display, which no one has yet to offer, except Vivo in the X20 Plus UD model. But Doogee claims that it has the fastest unlock of the phone, in less than 0.5 seconds.

Doogee V: Specifications

Doogee V is equipped with a 6.21-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution (FHD +) of 2248 x 1080 pixels. It has a screen pixel density of up to 401.61 (PPI), and a 19: 9 aspect ratio.

Works Doogee V on the new eight-core processor MediaTek Helio P60. This is the first SoC with a multi-core processing unit related to artificial intelligence and artificial intelligence technology MediaTek NeuroPilot.

The chip consists of four core ARM Cortex-A73 and four cores ARM Cortex-A53 operate at a frequency of 2.0 GHz. For the graphics is responsible processor ARM Mali-G72 MP3, running at 800 MHz.

This combination is said to improve the CPU performance by 70% compared to the SoC Helio P23 and Helio P30.

The smartphone has up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage memory, signed by Samsung.

For the photographic part, a dual main rear camera with a resolution of 16 MP (Sony) + 8 MP responds, which supports scene detection using AI. On the front side is a 16-megapixel camera, which allows you to unlock your phone with your face.

For better sound, there are two stereo speakers with an NXP chip.

Doogee V has a 4000 mAh battery, compatible with fast charging.

Doogee V: Price and Availability

At the moment there is no reliable data when it comes out and what will be the price Doogee V. However, Doogee claims that the smartphone will be sold in most European countries in late March or early April, the price is still unknown.
