The Elephone S7 is undoubtedly one of the most attractive models in the catalog of Elephone Company. A terminal that sports a 5.5-inch curved screen at the sides and a glossy rear cover that also curves at the sides. A terminal that, in addition to its external appearance, stands out for its processor Helio X20 with 10 cores, which offers excellent performance. However, the company has wanted to go a step further and has announced the Elephone S7 Limited Edition, a limited edition that will include the new Helio X25 processor, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. This new edition of the Elephone S7 will go on sale all over the world but with very limited units.
MediaTek announced a few months ago that it was launching a new 10-core processor based on the powerful Helio X20, the Helio X25. A processor with a three-cluster configuration, like the X20, but increased the clock speed from 2.3 GHz to 2.5 GHz. It also changed the GPU slightly, keeping the Mali-T880 MP4 but increasing the speed Clock from 780 MHz to 850 MHz. Well, Elephone has wanted to equip its flagship of this new processor and has released a special version of the Elephone S7.
The new Elephone S7 Limited Edition incorporates an internal MediaTek Helio X25 processor, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. It is worth remembering that the original model incorporates 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. As we mentioned, the new processor offers a configuration of three clusters with 10 cores, two cores Cortex-A72 running at 2.5 GHz, four cores Cortex-A53 at 2.0 GHz and four cores Cortex A53 running at 1.4 GHz. Commented, is still a Mali-T880 MP4 but running at 850 MHz.
All other features of the Elephone S7 Limited Edition are maintained. That is, we have a screen with IPS panel of 5.5 inches and Full HD resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. It is a complete JDI In-cell lamination screen, which includes blue light filter technology to care for the eyes. The design of the terminal is the same, with a front with a curved screen on the sides and a start button that hides the fingerprint reader; and a shiny finish back that also curves at the ends to facilitate grip on the terminal. A very nice design that reminds us a lot of a certain high-end terminal from a certain Korean company.
As for the photographic section, it is solved with the main camera with 13 megapixel sensor and f/2.2 aperture, autofocus system and LED flash. At the front, we find a 5-megapixel sensor and f/2.4 aperture. As for the autonomy, incorporates a battery of 3,000 mAh with a system of fast load, a quite acceptable capacity that uses even terminals of higher range. In connectivity, we have the most usual: support for LTE networks, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS with A-GPS and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n.
As we said, the Elephone S7 Limited Edition will go on sale worldwide, but in small quantities. The price has not yet become official, but it is probably not very different from the current model.
