OnePlus Company appeared on the mobile market quite recently – in 2013, but during this time managed to gain popularity by releasing seven smartphones. The first smartphone, OnePlus One, was adopted with caution, the irony sounded even with regard to the name of the device. However, three years later, it turned out that OnePlus had serious intentions and great ambitions.

OnePlus 5T is an advanced model that “killed” the production of the predecessor OnePlus 5 after only six months after its launch. Smartphone OnePlus 5T has an aluminum case, a screen with an aspect ratio of 18: 9, Snapdragon 835, ultra-fast charging Dash Charge and OxygenOS based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat.

OnePlus 5T: Display

The smartphone display has a size of 6.01 inches, the resolution of the AMOLED-matrix is 2160 x 1080 pixels (approximately 401 ppi). If you compare with more advanced smartphones in this respect, the picture may not be as clear, but it should not be attributed to the shortcomings. Moreover, such a choice will positively affect the battery life of OnePlus 5T. The company’s marketers considered that the aspect ratio of the 16: 9 screen ceased to be fashionable – the engineers gave out a slightly more extended display with an aspect ratio of 18: 9.

The screen features high brightness and AMOLED contrast characteristic, and in viewing angles exceeds Samsung Galaxy S8 and Sony Xperia XZ Premium. Colors are juicy and, that pleases, when taking pictures, they look approximately the same on the screen of both a smartphone and a computer, so there will be no surprises from the quality and color rendition. In a very bright sun, the display naturally “blinds”, but it remains quite readable.

In the screen settings, you can change the color space, but the standard seems the most familiar and natural (there are also options sRGB, DCI-P3, and custom). Also, there is a “Night mode”, which can be activated automatically according to the schedule and set its intensity.
