Samsung invents a future smartphone with holographic display

It is a technology that we dream for at least forty years, some of us have discovered in the Universe Star Wars. The communication by hologram slowly rears its nose, especially in the Samsung giant would develop a holographic device.

 The Korean manufacturer is the point of research and development; he filed numerous patents in particular. He was the first to offer a smartphone with SuperAMOLED screen, also the first to market with curved screens in smartphones with its Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.

 The reference website on patents, PatentlyMobile just get hold of a registered patent by the United Stated Patent & Trademark Office. From Samsung, the plans presented in the record indicates the ambition of the manufacturer to offer displays capable of generating icons and images in three-dimensional holographic, which is reminiscent of its 3D projection project controlled by eye tracking.

 Plans have a mobile device screen, a light guide placed above and an optical input element which would operate in a manner: when the light element corresponding to an optical product of the input light components, a holographic projection is then performed via the optical guide.

 In other words, this device would issue a selection of icons and other small visual elements suspended above your screen. Real small holograms float before our eyes, like the holoprojectors of the Star Wars saga … or almost, the road may still be long to reach this stage.

 This project was introduced in the third quarter of last year and it still seems too early to soon see this kind of technology appear. However, some have the firstfruits of the holographic 3D, as Estar Takee.
