Samsung patented a smartphone with foldable display and projector of holograms

Samsung has recently filed a patent for what in effect would be a smartphone folding. However it is not a device that closes “clamshell” like those we were used to in the past, but the hinge would be placed in the middle of the screen, thus giving the possibility of a closure “wallet”.

Recall that Samsung presents a large number of patents each year, but most of them do not see the light, or to technical difficulties, or linked to the market, or internal choices.

Another interesting and curious to this hypothetical new phone would be linked to the presence of a small projector built: not a new feature on Samsung, the Galaxy Beam already considered that he had one, but in this case you might think of a device that to reproduce three-dimensional holograms.

In any case, the importance of this news also lies in innovation that, objectively, Samsung has brought and will continue to lead in the world of mobile telephony: in 2015, for example, the two most important introductions were the curved display on Galaxy S6 Edge and super tablet with 18-inch Galaxy View.

We would not be surprised, therefore, to see a smartphone folding weblog Samsung in the coming months, although very probably nothing like it will be presented before 2017.
