ZTE took advantage of the Mobile World Congress in Shanghai to unveil Blade D6, smartphone below the Blade S6 in terms of technical characteristics, but has the merit of integrating an aluminum hull with thick downgraded.
Last January, ZTE unveiled the Blade S6, a cousin of the iPhone 6 under Android 5.0 Lollipop. This time, ZTE recently formalized the Blade D6, the little brother of Blade S6 given its specs. If the device stores a screen with a diagonal of 5 inches supporting a HD resolution (720p), the Snapdragon 615 is replaced by a MediaTek MT6735 SoC with four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.3 GHz. This chip is between Snapdragon 410 and Snapdragon 615. The amount of RAM remains the same, with 2GB LPDDR3 while the storage space is provided by a 16GB eMMC, with the ability to insert a microSD card, if one is willing to spend dual SIM capabilities of the device.
Level multimedia, photo sensors retain a definition of 13 megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel on the front. For the network part, the Blade D6 supports 4G and Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n. The single carriage allows for him to insert a micro SIM card and a SIM card nano if no microSD card is used. ZTE did not indicate whether the dual SIM is active or standby type, but we imagine that the latter mode was favored as the Blade S6. Terminal dimensions are 142 x 69.5 x 6.95 mm, which gives a more compact mobile – especially thinner – the Blade S6 with an aluminum hull at the back instead of a simple plastic. The downside is the battery capacity, down from 200 mAh to 2200 mAh reach. Too bad since autonomy was not the strong point of the Blade S6. For the software part is Android 5.0 Lollipop is the game, but as a home interface: MiFavor in version 3.2 when we had tested the version 3.0 with the Blade S6 in May.
The Blade D6 will be available soon in several countries such as Australia, Russia and Japan in three colors: pink, gold, gray and silver. Its price is yet unknown and we do not yet know whether the terminal will be available in Europe.
